Should you list your prices on your website?

During the process of coming up with content for a website, a very common debate for service providers is “Should I list my pricing on my website?”. There are people on both sides of the fence which can either say yes you should, and the other side that is against it completely. There is no right or wrong answer as all businesses, and all clients are different however we will provide as to why we believe in full transparency of pricing. Weed out the bargain hunters

Within any industry there is always a large range from very budget friendly to luxury prices. If a client is 100% in it for finding the cheapest service, and not in it for the quality of their investment, listing your prices will help weed out the bargain hunters. If you have a client that wants to see exactly what is included in your pricing, they are valuing their investment. With listing your prices, a client can find them and decide what’s the next step, do they want to contact you, or do they want to keep looking for someone else?

Time Is Money

We believe in pricing transparency, as it can be “time saving” and by that, I mean the process of scheduling a call with a potential client, “pitching” the service; easily can take 30 minutes to an hour if not longer. In the case that the client decides, or even if you decide you’re not a good fit for each other – this is time that was wasted, and as anyone as a business owner knows…time is money.

Avoid “That” Awkward Conversation

If you’re wanting to avoid prices on your site as you don’t want to sticker shock any clients, then there will always be that uncomfortable budget conversation. No matter what service you provide, after you’ve pitched yourself – and the client has let you know what they are looking for, then comes the question….”How Much?”.

You can be comfortable & confident talking about your services and the value they offer a client, but with any one this can be a moment where it’s awkward silence….and the “uhms” and “maybes”, you still might be ending the consult with a “well I’ll get back in touch with you, I have to think about it.” Many might even see the conversation as an evaluation from the service provider to see just how much to actually charge that client, and not truly having a price scale.

Value Your Worth

As many businesses grow, as do their rates…more experience, more knowledge, more tools, and more demand for services. Pricing Transparency easily allows customers over time who may be coming back and looking and what you offer over and over again, to see that what you offer is WORTH it. Don’t hide your success, and your knowledge – you KNOW your business better than anyone else, and you need to show it off that the price you have listed…is exactly worth what that client will be investing.

Only you know your business, and you know your ideal clients. You will be the one to know exactly what is best, and how to best build your business – and book clients as you need. If you don’t list your prices on your website currently, we’d love to hear why you choose to do so!

Online Scheduling

For all of our online booking we use Acuity. This platform allows us to make booking appointments easy for us, and for clients. We can elect to have different types of appointments, as well as if we wanted to do classes – this platform allows for classes to be booked.

Client Management

We were going between MULTIPLE websites just to maintain my clients, their invoices, emails, where they are at in their design/site, then we were introduced to Dubsado. This LIFESAVER of a website has it all in one place, and allows you to do a lot of automation with prewritten emails, and auto-populate contracts.

This agreement is between Wild Spirit Development and Client/company, the Client.

Client is contracting Wild Spirit Development as a provider of web site maintenance services. Services not considered 'standard website maintenance' are subject to be charged at a regular hourly rate of $75/hour, and will not be considered part of this contract. 

What IS included in this agreement:

  • Premium security plugin to run security scans, and prevent security breaches.
  • Once a Month Website Core (WordPress) updates
  • 24/7 website uptime monitoring to ensure your website is running, and alert developer if there is any downtime.
  • Monthly website plug-in updates
  • Monthly website theme updates
  • Regular and thorough backups of your site so that it may be fully restored in case of loss

Monitoring your website functionality to ensure that everything is working as it should and upgrade where necessary. Some plugins may become outdated and no longer work with the newest version of your website software. Plugins may need upgrading to accommodate the newer version, or become obsolete with the improvements in the website software.
Downtime is highly inconvenient for any website owner and when it happens it is important to have someone on hand to help. 

What is NOT included in this agreement:

  • Content (text, words, photos, etc) updates, web site redesign, re-alignment or re-development.
  • CMS design or integration including but not limited to blogs, shopping carts and web forums. These require a separate design agreement.

Total Agreement:

Wild Spirit Development shall provide Client with necessary updates to the web site for a minimum of 12 months. The contract will be paid on a Monthly Basis with the 1st payment due as soon as Client/company purchases maintenance package. Each payment due around the date of the initial payment of each month. 

During the duration of this contract, the Client agrees that Wild Spirit Development will be the sole provider of maintenance services for the web site, and no other party will have access to or rights to change the web site. If a party other than Wild Spirit Development makes changes to the web site, any errors that are created must be repaired and will be charged for at the hourly rate specified above.

If client/company wishes to cancel their Security & Plug-in Website Care Package prior to their 12 month renewal date, they will be subject to pay the remainder of the 

Additional Services:

Any revisions, additions or redesign Client requests Wild Spirit Development to perform that is not specified in this document shall be considered "additional" and will require separate agreement and payment at above hourly rate. Wild Spirit Development shall advise Client on any requested work that falls within these bounds.

Authorization:

Client hereby authorizes Company/Developer to access their web hosting account, providing active user name / password combinations for access to the server via FTP, assuring that 'write permissions' are in place on said hosting provider.

Legal:

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom applicable therein.
